I was born in Toronto, Canada and received a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto. After working at Xilinx, Inc in San Jose, I earned a D.Phil in Engineering Science (Signal Processing and Neural Networks Research Group) from the University of Oxford. I worked for OBS Medical and then returned to the university in various roles including a postdoctoral researcher in the Machine Learning Research Group, a College Lecturer at Somerville College (teaching Engineering Science) and helping to launch the startup Mind Foundry. I returned to Toronto in 2015 and am currently an Assistant Professor (CLTATS) at the University of Toronto and director of Datatrie.
