Background
I was born in Toronto, Canada and received a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto. After working at Xilinx, Inc in San Jose, I earned a D.Phil in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford. I worked for OBS Medical and then returned to the university for roles in the Machine Learning Research Group, Somerville College, and Mind Foundry. I repatriated to Toronto in 2015 where I taught at the University of Toronto and directed Datatrie, Inc., and from January 2022 I work at the Hospital for Sick Children.
